It's also very useful to send with your logo to print shops and other designers for the same reason.

Vector and Raster files

Vector files allow a print shop, or if you have the right software, to size the file to whatever size is needed for various applications without distortion. This could mean a tiny favicon for web browsers or a billboard on the side of the highway.

Raster files entail most images you'll see on the web. A raster graphic is made to look crisp and clear at a particular size. If a graphic isn't sized correctly or just blown up too big, the image will look pixelated and blurry.

The idea is to create your logo in vector format. The vectors can be used for printing your business cards and putting your logo on hats and T-shirts to promote your new business. Then, the vectors can be used to create various sized raster images for web use. They work hand in hand. One isn't simply better than the other. It all depends on the application it will be used for.

Vectors are typically used for logos, engraving and screenprinting whereas rasters are used in photography and most digital imagery.

Both have pros and cons. You can learn more here ---> Vector Vs. Raster

3 various color formats

Your logo package will include 3 different color formats:

  1. Full Color
  2. All Black
  3. All White

These color options will give you versatility for different applications moving forward. Instances will come up where an all black or white logo is the only option.

Having variations will also give you more design freedom when layering graphics for promotional material.

A single color option can also save you money in print costs.
